Solid Video Content Ideas to keep you Ahead of the Game in December

No matter how creative you are, sometimes, due to several reasons, getting video ideas for your marketing campaign could be hard. However, before you begin thinking outside the box, we have rounded up a few great video content ideas to help you get started ASAP.

Here they come!

DIY/How-To Videos

Show your audience how to do specific things that relate to your brand. For example, if you’re a plumbing company, you could show them how to fix a flusher. If you’re a clothing brand, you could show them how to match colors for their different outfits!

Fun Facts Slideshows

Everybody loves facts, it makes us feel like we’re smarter than our peers, and if we somehow stumble across some fun facts, it almost feels like we’ve discovered the secret of immortality.

Use fun facts to hook your audience, it works! However, try your best to make these facts relate to your business so that your Call to Action will flow naturally.

For example, if you’re a plumbing company, you can say something like this:

“If you have a cracked faucet that drips twice every minute, you’ll waste four liters of water every week!” or

“Super Mario, your favorite childhood game character, is a plumber!”

You can make these fun facts into a slideshow using a great video editor like Animotica, iMovie, etc.

A Top 5 or Top 10 List

Here you could make a list of exciting people, places, events, or things that relate to your business. Always find something that works for your audience.

For example, for a clothing brand, you can make a list of ‘top 5 Christmas Fashion Trends,’ or anything you like, that your audience would like, too.

A Behind the Scenes Video

Even if you’re not into production, you can show some clips of things that happen behind the scenes of your business. Your audience will enjoy a well-shot behind the scenes video if it is enlightening enough.

On this Day in History

This is purely for entertainment and educational purposes. With this, you can give your audience something to look at and perhaps ponder upon. Find a list of interesting events that occurred on each particular day, and work them into a slideshow using a simple yet awesome video editor.

You can find such events here, or you can just run a simple google search!

Fun Quotes of the Day

Find quotes, punchlines, or jokes that can suit the mood of the day to keep your audience smiling.

You can also find such stuff with a simple Google search. However, to save your time, you can find some good ones here.

Some Pro Tips for a Superb Video Creating Experience!

Of course, you do not want to make videos just because you have to. You want to make content that brings results! So, in that case, here are some things to keep in mind.

  • Always Tailor your Content to Suit: No pun intended, but you should try your best to make your video content suit your brand and the day in question. This would help your ads and CTAs by making them absorb into the content naturally.
  • Have Some Information: This is probably a no-brainer. You should publish stuff that educates your audience. That way, they will see the value you’re giving and be more open for business.
  • Hooks!: Don’t be boring. A sprinkle of wordplay here and there won’t hurt at all. Start-off your video content on a creative note. This way, your audience would be happy to watch till the end.
  • Watch Your Back: Well, I said “watch your back” because I’d like to think you’re ahead in the game. Your competitors are definitely trying to find ways to outdo you. Monitor what they do and find ways to keep yourself ahead. Also, look at those ahead of you, find out what they’re doing and adopt the techniques that can help you beat them.
  • Length Matters: Let’s keep things as short as possible!
  • Use a Calendar: Using a Calendar enables you to plan your video content creation like a masterpiece. However, you do not have to create one from scratch. We have a template which we are giving you for free!
